Passionate about music and a discerning digger, Breiss initially dedicated himself to DJing. As part of the Meauxtown collective, he developed a rich style by exploring a wide range of musical influences. He draws inspiration from 90s hip-hop, marked by legendary figures such as Lord Finesse, A Tribe Called Quest, Dred Scott or Freestyle Fellowship. Jazz occupies a central place in his creative universe, nourished by iconic artists like Roy Ayers, Les McCann and Patrice Rushen. His DJ sets, blending disco-funk, house and jazzy hip-hop, appeal to the most discerning audiences.
In the late 90s, Breiss became passionate about beatmaking, producing for artists such as Jazz Liberatorz, T-Love or Lemdi & Moax. In 2019, his collaboration with Kiydrah, a young texan artist, marked a turning point with the creation of "Simulation", released on vinyl by HHV. In 2021, he produced "Méditation urbaine", an instrumental beat tape with jazzy sounds, released on cassette by the Rennes-based label a night on canopy.
Today, Breiss returns with "The Indian Bird", an hypnotic project bringing together Kiydrah, Lanoir (JATOBA), LaNote and Renaud Collet. This album confirms his passion for jazz while remaining deeply rooted in hip-hop.
